THE POSSIBILITIES OF PRACTICAL IMPLEMENTATION OF REGRESSION ANALYSIS IN LOCATION CHOICE
THE POSSIBILITIES OF PRACTICAL IMPLEMENTATION OF REGRESSION ANALYSIS IN LOCATION CHOICE hot!
Abstract: Location, location, location is a well worn catch phrase of the real estate industry. Invest in a property in the right location and watch your investment soar in value. The same catch cry may or may not hold true for the restaurant (hotel) industry, open a restaurant in the right location and are you on the way to become a winner? The question is: Did the best locations for a restaurant (hotel) automatically mean that the restaurant (hotel) is profitable? The intention of this paper is to show if there is positive correlation between the best location and restaurant's (hotel's) profitability.

ECOTOURISM AND THE ECONOMY: CASE STUDY OF MARA & AMBOSELI IN KENYA
ECOTOURISM AND THE ECONOMY: CASE STUDY OF MARA & AMBOSELI IN KENYA hot!
Abstract: The Kenyan government sees ecotourism as having the potential of becoming a moderately useful tool for locally directed and participatory rural development based on a rational utilization of environmental and cultural resources on which tourism is based. We therefore need a better understanding of ecotourism's impacts, and how those impacts are affected by various development and management strategies. Furthermore, ecotourism not only provides revenue and employment, but also causes undesirable environmental and social change. Unfortunately, these costs of ecotourism development are rarely evaluated in detail. If ecotourism is truly to promote a region's welfare, it is vital that apart from the economic potential, environmental and social costs also needs to be identified, and that these costs enter into any decisions about ecotourism development. This paper contributes to a greater understanding of the linkages between ecotourism and the economy from the Kenyan perspective. Research was undertaken in communities adjacent to Masai Mara and Amboseli area in Kenya. The study examined the relationships between ecotourism and economy with a view to understanding how the benefits if any are utilized within the communities.

E-CRM IN THE TOURISM SECTOR
E-CRM IN THE TOURISM SECTOR hot!
Abstract: E-tourism offers the potential to make information and booking facilities available to large numbers of consumers at relatively low cost. It enables the tourism sector to make large-scale savings on the production and distribution of print and other traditional activities such as call centers and information centers. It also provides a tool for communication and relationship development with the end-consumers as well as tourism suppliers and market intermediaries. E-CRM and ICTs adoption are key to the e-tourism growth. Considering the fierce market competition it is a competitive advantage and it must be seen as a new business model which enhances a customer centric culture within destination organization. In this paper I will focus on the issues related to e-CRM and ICTs and their adoption and implementation in e-tourism.

IMPACT OF THE TOURISM DEVELOPMENT ON POVERTY REDUCTION IN ALBANIA AS A COUNTRY IN TRANSITION
IMPACT OF THE TOURISM DEVELOPMENT ON POVERTY REDUCTION IN ALBANIA AS A COUNTRY IN TRANSITION hot!
Abstract. Fighting poverty is a major challenge for Albania, in which tourism can make a significant contribution. However, it is important to analyze the basic concepts behind specific policies and actions that would allow tourism to be effective, like the possibilities offered by micro-credit. In fact, tourism development must be properly managed, avoiding anarchic, speculative development, so that it can be transformed into benefits for the local people and their environment. This paper will list seven areas of action through which tourism development in Albania as a Mediterranean country could fight poverty, with several of them relating to the possibilities created by micro-credit. After analyzing each of these approaches, a methodology must be drawn up for selecting the most effective projects from two points of view - interest for tourism and impact on poverty reduction.
